Live Mannequins Hold A Pose For Two Hours To Benefit Charity

Betty Be Good is raising funds this Christmas in a most unique way; models will pose as live mannequins while the boutique pledges $1 per minute for Deborah’s Gate, The Salvation Army’s safe house for sex-trafficking victims.

Betty Be Good is hosting the live mannequin display from inside the window of the shop at Birch Bay Square on Saturday, December 20th from 1-3pm.

“We’re offering The Salvation Army a dollar per minute for every minute our models pose completely still. It’s a fun challenge for the models and a great way to raise money for an important cause, “ Suzanne Smith, the owner of Betty Be Good explained.

Further to this Betty Be Good donates 2% of all purchases to Betty’s Liberty Closet; a fund created by the retailer that clothes women fleeing the bondage of sex slavery with the help of The Salvation Army.

“We encourage everyone to come and watch this unique challenge, donate to the cause by adding ‘per minute pledges’ and to learn more about Deborah’s Gate,” said Smith. She hopes shoppers will add to her per minute pledge of $1. Her goal is $10 per minute.

Donations to the campaign can be made in store or online by clicking here. 100% of donations will benefit Deborah's Gate, The Salvation Army. More about Deborah's Gate at www.deborahsgate.ca.
